What intake manifold can I run to clear stock hood?

I have a 91 firebird formula with the base hood. No cowl or nothing. I'm trying to maintain a stock look. I'm running the performer RPM right now with a Holley 650 DP and a 14 x 3 drop base air cleaner and it just clears. My combo would really love a single plane. Are there any single plane intakes that I can run that will clear my stock hood?

Thanks

I think some of the Holley/Weiand intakes are single plane, short rise intakes.
Stealth might be one. You'll have to dig into Holleys website. Do you think your combo wants the single plane for the common plenum (how would you know that?) or the single plane for the tall vertical shot (likely, and impossible in your situation )

Is that what you run? I want to make sure because I need to keep the stock hood. It wants to rev and the performer RPM is maxing out I think.

Yes, that's what I run. It fits, barely.

Really??? Wow, that must be a tight squeeze.

have you thought about cutting down your divider wall? I think nightrider87 did that and swears by it. Enlarges the plenum slightly etc.

I have done that on several motors I have built. It helps out a great deal!

Re: What intake manifold can I run to clear stock hood?

One possible suggestion for a single plane intake would be the Weiand X-Celerator #7547. I run the 7546 on my 69 Camaro, and it pulls to 6k no problem. The 7547 has a similar rpm range according to Weiand, but it's a low-rise design. My 7546 is probably about the same height as your Performer RPM, so it'd more than likely work, but I'd say the 7547 would fit for sure.
