water dumping out headers and tpi

I am new to this site and already did a search but did not find what I the answer. I just installed a L98 from a 88 Corvette into my 85 Trans Am. After hooking everything up changing oil filling with coolant I start it up and it runs fine for only a few seconds. The idle of course drops off and its running rough because it's dumping water out of the throttle body and shooting the rest straight through the motor and out the headers onto the floor. Does anyone know what the problem is?
Thanks for all the help

Just pulled the throttle body off checking the gasket and also checked for any cracks but found nothing wrong. After working all day on the install thats all I got to.

Is there water in the oil?

Have the heads been ported?

There is no water in the oil and far as I know the heads have not been ported. I bought the engine from a junk yard out of a wrecked Corvette.

It was probably one of those duh moments. Something simple and something that you want to kick yourself for overlooking.
