Re: Anyway to fix Blue Smoke?

Typical chevy problem. Valve seals are toast. When the engine sits oil leaks down through the valve guides and when you start it up it gets burned hence the smoke.

Re: Anyway to fix Blue Smoke?

Valve seals costs $40 and you don't have to pull the engine or the heads.
Common problem. Start there, if that doesn't fix it, then go on.

Ask for the Fel-pro viton positive seals for your intake side. Buy two sets (an extra set of INTAKES, for the exhaust side as well) and put them on using a spring compressor.

Re: Anyway to fix Blue Smoke?

"exhaust seals" as the parts stores call them, are typically the umbrella seals. They don't really seal very well. They let oil seep through, in order to lube/cool the exhaust valves.
Intake seals are meant to completely seal, so they are the positive style seals.
You can buy intakes and put them on both sides though. Many people do this with no ill effects.

Re: Anyway to fix Blue Smoke?

first check the easy stuff . likely that you do need new valve seals , can be done in car . most likely the drain holes on the lower front & rear of the cylinder heads have become sludged up and oil is not draining back to crankcase as it should . easy fix , disconnect battery , remove valve covers , rod out drain passages . worked for me . good luck .
