intermittent starter issues... bad connections/grounds?
this has been ongoing for a little while now, but it is becoming more importiant as it gets ready for the race season.
every couple times i crank the car i get the god-awful clicking sound like the battery is low, but i will do it again and it will crank normally.
i am thinking bad ground/connection... does that sound right?
what exactly is happening when that loud clicking occurs anyway??

i have not found a clear definition of heat soak, so if somebody could explain it better that would be great.
i do have long tubes, but this is happening at a cold start.
i havent had it all the way up to temp after everything due to my pulley issue (misalligend v belt), my serpentine conversion kit is shipping out from summit on the 28th.

well if it happens at a cold start, the heat from your long tubes could be frying your solinoid. heat soak is when the electrical component gets so hot it doesnt work, because it has too much resistance, caused by the increased temperature. after a while, it'll do lasting damage. if its heat soak, get a new solinoid, or get a new one and relocate it to the fire wall, there is a kit for it at summitracing.com i think
