Not much of a mechanic without it doing something very specific... but I would suggest just cleaning the fuel lines with some STP and tuning it up a little. For the idle, have you tried to turn the idle down or does it idle high for just no reason at all?

It idles high. the idle screw is doen all the way.

The rocker arms need to be readjusted and i was told the vacuum lines need to be redone because they are wrong. Could any of these be the problem?

Yeah, it can. I just fixed my vacuum lines. I had a vaccum lead and because of that my car wanted to die when put into gear when it was nice and warm.

Very Helpful.

Rocker arms will just click and clatter constantly when adjusted too loose. If adjusted to tight will ruin the lifter.

The idle screw shouldnt be the problem because it wouldnt cause the no power i second.

SO IT IS PROBABLY THE VACUUM.

If anyone else has any more REAL input i would appreciate.

And DYINGYOUNG138 thank you for your great input in helping me to solve this problem.

i would check the spark and wires, aswell as the timing, chances are it could be a group of things that are bad, but that could only be the case if you dont do maintenance on your own engine. also check for vacuum leaks, light a stick of incense and where ever it glows brighter is where u got your leak.

It has good spark, wires, also timing is good. I also sprayed carb cleaner at all the itake seams to check for rpm change/leaks. nothing so there doesnt seem to be a intake leak.
