Fix this problem and I might be able to finally drive it!

Owned this car for three years. Problem after problem has kept me from ever driving it further than around the block. 89 Formula 350 TPI - Car runs fantastic until it gets hot and goes into closed loop, then misses and runs rough. Only mods are SLP intake runners and ported, matched plenum.

New parts include, 19 lb injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, ign module, Ign coil, dist and all sensor pigtails, IAC, TPS, O2, thermostat 180 degree, vacuum hoses replaced, EGR valve, IAT, and many other parts I'm sure I've forgot. Timing is set correctly.

Car throws no codes. It's to the point now that it's so depressing it's comical. Ahhhh, but those first five minutes, before it heats up are magical.

If you have a shred of decency...please help.

Thank you

Why are you running 19lb injectors on a 350?

Well, I replaced the original injectors with 21 pound and was told by this board that they were too big. So I replaced them one I replaced with 19 lb which is what I believe to be correct. Too be more specific I was told that the 21 lb were causing the ecm to think that it was running rich and therefor causing it to hae the miss problem

21 lb injectors are not too big for a 350 TPI. I was running 24 lb ones for a while with the stock chip and it ran fine.

Stock injectors for a 350 tpi are 22lbs. Need atleast that big in a 350. I would start there.

Since I had the 22's still I put them back in today. Original problem continues. They all ohmed at exacly 12 ohms. According to many posts this is low but they are all the same which I think is good. Right? Anyway, problem still exists...

Injector ohm is low. Need to be at 16 ohms. Injectors need to be replaced.

OK, bought the proper injectors from injector connection and installed them, also replaced the distributor and ignition module while in there. Rebuilt the fuel rails for the umpteenth time and replaced every vacuum line and O ring I could find.

Car runs fantastic! Until, it goies into closed loop, then sputters. This time though it idled real high before going into closed loop. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
