Engine numbers

Alright, got bored today and decided to get some numbers off my engine, cant get to the casting numbers in the back, so I got the suffix code and supposed partial vin. Unfortunately I have no idea where this partial vin came from, here are all the numbers.

V0703CDJ
1FN175789

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Engine numbers

V= Flint engine plant
07= July
03= 3rd day of July
CDJ= 1972 350 base, tur 400, NB2 K 200hp - Vette/SS
CDJ= 1982 267 Roch E2ME carb. J - 2 B G/Bel Air/Kingswd/Monte
CDJ= 1985 305 Roch E4ME carb. H LG4 150hp 4 B F G/Impala
So if the last digits of the VIN on the block match the car's VIN (85 Camaro), the engine is the last one.

Re: Engine numbers

Since the suffix code indicates 3 different engines even though 2 are not f-body engines, you need to narrow it down to see what it is to see if it's original. The VIN number has a date code.

F = 1985 so the engine is original and the VIN number should match the last few digits of the car's VIN number.
