I was at Englishtown for Pinks All Out a couple months ago and they did an exhibition run between 2 Charger SRT8s (they ran both of them twice, actually). They were showroom stock and the air was hot. We were taking bets in the stands on what they would run. I had the "slow" guess of the group at 13.6. Fastest run was only 13.8! I passed 'Go' and collected my $200.

 

im slipping going into 3rd b/c my kickdown is to short. Were can i get thos realy long ones with the extra cable on the end?

 

What trans? 700R4 (throttle valve cable)? B&M makes quite a few cables, although I haven't gone looking for an aftermarket 700R4 TV cable in quite a while.

I have a B&M adjustable kickdown cable on my TH350 for a similar reason- it needed to be longer to reach the carb sitting WAY on top of the blower. It came out of the box with more than ample cable length and a variety of different connectors that could be tightened down anywhere on the end of the cable that you desire.

Whats your setup like?What do you call way to small of a cam?A guy a used to work with had one of those rt`s with some mods(Headers,exhaust,programmer) and always talked crap about being soooo much faster than me.I let him talk but other co workers who both rode with us said my car seemed faster.I dont know,he got fired before we could race.Said he had 425 hp fom the mods.He acted like he didnt believe me that the advertised hp increase from mods was usually overated and that his engine was 350 hp stock.I always wondered what would have happened.

 

no kiddin' but when i look at it, when you buy a holly 4150, Weiand action+, Lunati Voodoo, all the gaskets, replacemant bolts, new air cleaner, some cragar rims, an MSD Street fire distributer, B&M Shift Improver, tci torque converter lockup, and a bunch of other stuff, the price of that adapter is well worth not having to figure out a way to make it work.

The Charger pulled up beside me at a red light ( I know it never happens) It was a older guy and his wife. They were kinda giggling at my old *** camaro, so i Stalled it up a little waiting on the light and the guy wasnt realy acting like he was going to do anything so i got off my tiny converter and right when i let of the gas and brake... Bam green.. The charger launches out in front and i just slam it to the floor. (I usually try to "jump" the car then hit it to keep the tire spinn down but he kinda made me look stupid) So i burn threw first hit second and catch at about 3 grand in second and i start to real him in. 6500 third. I knew there was no way that camaro was going to let a damn mopar out run it. I ended up pulling him about 2 cars at about 120mph. We meet up again about 2 stop lights later and they wernt laughing anymore.

we realy dont know what the cam is.. You can tell the engine isnt breathing at all tho. It just dont have that hard hitting sound it should have.

The car is getting a corvette survo for the tranny and 3.73 gears this weekend. The survo should be here tomorrow so i hope we can get them in at the same time.
