problem with daily driver
Hey guys its been several weeks since the problem started and it hasn't stopped or gotten any worse yet. when I'm cursing on the highway around 60 some times the car jerks and I can see the tack go down 2 to 3 hundred RPMs. Its almost like the car starts to down shift and then decides not to. sometimes I can shift from OD to D and back and it will stop the problem but not everytime. So I'm wondering if its the torque converter or maybe the ecu being dumb.

The rear gear has nothing to do with it. And if it was downshifting, the rpm would increase. The tach dropping 200-300 rpm is the torque converter locking up like it is supposed to. Your real problem is that it isn't locked up all the time that you're cruising in OD.

It idles pretty smooth sometimes it acts like it misses every 15 seconds or so and it is also really hard to get into park like the trans cable is not adjusted right.

Re: problem with daily driver
could be a bad injector causing the miss at idle, as well as a misadjusted gear cable or bad lever assembly on the transmission itself for the hard to put in park issue. ohm your injectors....they should all read 14 to 17 ohms.....any lower and they need replacing.
