no one can tell me where the flasher unit is on my car? My chilton is in the mail so I need to know fast, without signals driving around town is harder.

whenever my signals go bad, i usually have an Irish Midget direct traffic for me. haha. but seriously, if your bulbs arnt bad, and the fuse isnt bad, then you relay is bad. if when you turn on the signals, do you hear a clicking sound. if not then its your relay. its really not hard. its under the dash i stink

Re: Turn signals wont work
I have the same problem, and here is what i was told.
The hazards and the turn signals have different flashers.
Hazard flashers are in the convienience center, which is under the dash behind the ALDL connector (where the buzzer is).
The turn signal flasher is on the other side of the dash, close to the fuze-bocks...
You can troubleshoot this by: replacing the hazard flasher with the turn signal flasher. Swap them.
good luck.
Upon further review, the chiltons book is of NO use. It says that on an 82-84 camaro the flasher is in the convieneince center right next to the hazard flasher. Well that is nice. But on the next page it says that 84-89 it is not. Only the hazard flasher. The turn signal flasher is somewhere else. But it never says where.
SO; I crawled my fat-*** under the dash and I cant find it. I pulled down the fuze box, and all i found was a million scattered completely random mess of wires.
Damn; these cars are low to the ground, i had to lay in the dirt with my head under the dash. I didnt take a flashlight, its dark under there.
Who wired this thing anyway, what a mess. No ties or anything,,,just pushed the wires into a wad and stick a cover over it.
