Anybody Have Dyno results for this Motor

I have built a 350 for my Camaro and I haven't had it dyno'd but I'm sure some of you out there have the same motor and have dyno or quarter mile results. Here's what I running,

1974 Chev 350, .030 over, 2 bolt main, stock crank, connecting rods, ZH 345Np speed pro pistons, 906 vortec heads with the exhaust seat, intake and exhaust cleaned up mildly, and intake port matched, high volume oil pump, double roller chain, Summit K1103 Cam Int. 442 at valve, Exh 465 at Valve, 1.5 stock rockers, edelbrock 2116 intake, Quadrajet carb, redone to handle 350 hp...Heddman 1 5/8 headers, and y pipe, 3" high flow cat back, with a ravin muffler. I usually run 94 sunoco.

Stock 91 700r4, with stock converter, and 3;23 limited slip rear end.

I have used Performance Trends engine analyser and got some crazy numbers, 377 hp at 6000 rpm, and 381 trq at 4500 rpm. Not that I'd run it at 6000 rpm for very long if ever.

Any numbers on combo's close to this would be great !
At the flywheel, or at the rear wheels ...........

While you should switch to 1.6:1 rockers, your combo sounds fine. I have no trouble believing 377 crankshaft hp, uncorrected, but it's gonna happen around 5500 rpm. And you should be over 400 ft-lbs, from 3500 to 4000 rpm. And before anyone else points it out, this combo is very similar to the 330 hp 350 crate engine from GM, but this one is over 10:1. And with a 700r-4, you'll find better dragstrip results if you do hold first to 6000. I see no reason your combo would be unhappy doing so.

Allmost the same as my set up except cam. My cam is Erson .458 lift 284 duration made 375 HP at 5800 and 420ftlbs tq. on engine dyno.
1979 2bolt block, 30 over 2256F speed pro pistons, 12558062 vortec heads, Performer RPM intake, and 750 Holley carb.

Re: Anybody Have Dyno results for this Motor

Last years model was as my sig except I ran a hydraulic flat tappet .458"/218* and terrible shorty headers.
Low 13's at 104 after the upgrade to 1.6 rockers. Terrible 60' at 1.95.
Various on line horsepower calculators guess that to be 375 chp although I thought that was ambitious.
This years roller cam version is high 12's still with terrible 60's at 1.8.

Re: Anybody Have Dyno results for this Motor

Am I going to gain all that much by going to 1.6 rockers? I know it will be like dropping in a bigger cam, but when I change the ratio in the Perf. trends calculator it doesn't make that big of a difference and it seems to hurt the low end. I didn't want my stock tranny to go POP either. Over the next winter I'm having the 700r4 built for the street, so maybe I'll do the 1.6 rocker arm upgrade then. Which self aligning rockers would you guys recommend?

To me it was worth 2/10's. However that was a different day (same track).

Re: Anybody Have Dyno results for this Motor

The 1.6 rockers are well worth it but you will have to do the ".550 lift mod " to your Vortec heads as your lift will jump to .496.

I'm running 1.6 rockers on a Vortec 350 right now.

Re: Anybody Have Dyno results for this Motor

When I had the heads done they machined them to .550 clearance so I should be OK. Do you use self aligning rocker rollers, or standard 1.6 self aligning?
Which brand is good?

I went with screw in studs and guide plates when I went for the 1.6 ratio rocker (non self aligning) upgrade. You can't go wrong with Comp Cams Pro Magnum.
I also had the push rod holes clearenced so there would be no binding isssues.
