Re: engine combo help

just a wild guess but
290 hp, 320 tq

I would just run an AC Delco plug (45T I think)

Not sure on the octane. Assuming 64cc head (is that what vortecs are?) the usual flat top would be around 9.5-10:1. A thin head gasket would increase that so, maybe 10-10.5:1?? I would run it if it were me, but I run high test in all of my babies.

Re: engine combo help

Vortecs are actually closer to 61cc, so you're around 10.5:1, you'll have to run premium with a cam that small. I'd go to the Lunati Voodoo that has 219/227 duration at .050", and 112 degree lobe separation. That's the smallest thing I'd run. And even then I'd install it 4 degrees retarded from how it's ground. This would put you past a horse per inch, and with the right intake and exhaust, you could reach a corrected 400 crank hp, but that would be with no accessories.
