Car completely dead....HELP!

I was driving to work today and I stalled at a stop light, after I did this, I attempted to re-start the car, however everything was completely dead.

No radio, lights, sounds, car doesn't even attemp to turn over. It's like it's dead to the world.

I literally pushed it into the parking lot of work this morning, I have no idea what could have caused this....drove fine till this disaster.....

Thanks in advance

Re: Car completely dead....HELP!

Sounds like a battery issue. I'd check the battery terminal connections, and battery cables.

That's what I'm thinking....I just tried to jumpstart the car and it didn't even respond or work at all....

I might just replace the battery and connections all at once.

Do they sell the cables and connections at Auto-Zone or do I need to special order?

yes, they sell replacement cables at autozone, which will already have the needed connectors. You just have to find the right length ones. They can probably look it up on their computers, but you could also remove and measure your stock ones.

Alright, I'll give them a call when I get out of work....I'm gonna go and try to mess around with the cables and see what happens....

thanks for the help.

Is it possible that anything could have caused this?

Re: Car completely dead....HELP!

I would suspect corrosion at the battery terminals. I pull mine loose a couple times a year and clean them.

I'll check on this as well, it's only connected in one spot near the battery? Or is there another I should check?

Re: Car completely dead....HELP!

well since i had to relocate my battery, i took my negative batt cable and grounded it to the a/c bracket. so i would have to look at my car to see where it was originally grounded. but you can ground it anywhere you like.
