Re: combo opinions wanted

Seems a little tame for a dedicated drag car - I would probably be looking at some better heads - Dart Iron Eagles are cheap and flow well, go to a solid roller cam somewhere in the mid 240s or low 250s duration, around .600" lift. Also go single plane, and 3500-4000 stall with transbrake for hard launches.

This means that the engine needs to be able to take 6500rpm (at least) reliably, and the box will need to be built to cope too.

What sort of times are you looking for?

Re: combo opinions wanted

This is a stock rebuild bottom end so I am not trying to go past 6200 rpm or so,reason I chose a cam in the lower rpm range.
I am going solid roller.
I would like to see an 11.90 at least,I have been 12.76@105 with present combo so I think it can be done easily with new combo.

Thanks
