Re: 383 question

what are your emission laws where you are , some states if your car came with EFI you can't go to a carb you have to have factory EFI or better EFI .

Consider a Holley/Weiand Stealth Ram. It'll flow much better than your stock TPI, will handle a 383 with ease.

Re: 383 question

i have a L98 T.P.I motor that i stroked to a 383 and yes im on the stock runners and intake.. works beautifully, not throwing out as much power as i would like but.. im looking at getting some new vortec heads and then the weiand stealth ram vortec intake manifold, its just on the stock tpi system the fuel goes into the the fuel rails driver side front of motor, the weiand is passanger side back motor. im not sure the best way to convert for that is my only problem...

Re: 383 question

I ran the stock TPI on a mild 383/700R4 in a 1990 Corvette. It may not have been the fastest car (258rwhp), but boy was it fun on the street. The huge low-to-mid torque hit was giggle-inducing, tire-melting fun. I will probably do it again when the stock engine starts to go in my Formula...

You just ditch the original TPI engine bay fuel lines and run new braided lines up the back of the engine to the HSR rails.Cleaner apperance and less heat in fuel

Can't beat 500ft/lb of torque @4K .No more power after 5K but fun getting there
