I just got my new 2101 performer intake on my 83 z28 and it is beautiful lol. I just have a few questions about the fittings for it. The first pic I attached is the 2 fittings I took off my old intake. The left one was for the heater hose but is to big for the hole in the second pic. The second just had a vacuum hose going to it and I'm not sure if I even need it anymore but it only fits in the hole behind the carb. Guess what I need to know is what size are the holes on the 2101 intake the 2 on front and 1 behind the carb so I can get the correct fittings or plugs for it. Also the 3rd pic is my old water neck. I was never sure what the wire connector or other fitting on top were used for or will I even need them anymore otherwise I will just get a new one to put on. Thanks for any help.....

 

hey not sure of the sizes but you could get a mainfold plug kit from say pep boys or autozone.They have different sizes in them and one would fit..would tell you the side of it.

 

any thoughts on water neck?...

 

one my 92 tbi engine i had a water neck with no sensors. but it was cracked. so i went to the auto parts and got a water neck for a 69 camaro. the 92 camaro hose was a real tight fit so i ground the neck on the housing down slightly with a sanding wheel on a die grinder and it fit perfect.

 

the neck itself fits on the new intake I just didn't know if I needed the sensors or not cause I haven't seen a new one with those fittings on it...

 

that might be the temp sensor for the ECM..not sure. Try going on autozone's website and looking up that temp sensor for a tbi car..

 

temp sensor on my tbi is on the head itself. now one of those might be the fan sensor

 

where are the wires going? can you trace them back?to the fuse panel or whatever..

 

after looking at the picture again does it have electric fans or a mechanical one. the single terminal one could be the gauge. the two wire is a sensor for either the ecm or electric fans.
