these are the casting numbers paid $500 for them with a port and polish job. think i got a good deal??

yeah he said they were the bow tie heads before they where called that. so think i got a good deal??

my current set up is those heads. 30 over. 1.6 roller rockers and 1.5 roller rockers scorpion. 501 lift cam. victor jr intake, flat top forged speed pro pistons, high flow water pump stock distributor with msd tune up kit. headman headers hardened push rods, forged connecting rods.. still looking for a carb. some people say 250 hp some people say well over 300..

Did he give you flow numbers on the heads?


Those are pretty nice stock, If ported well you'll make some great power.

i wanna say 190 runners but i could be wrong. i mean there screw in studs and wat not i think there a good set of heads for what i bought them for. i just wanted other peoples opinions.. a brand new set of cast heads with the same specs i would pay like a grand.

and i will be going from a stock lg4 to this 355 set up so i hope for wat im paying ill see a big difference in power.

Those 292's were called 'turbo heads' back in the day.... one of the best you could get back then, and still a pretty good head. I'd use them. They are based on the design of the 186 double hump heads, but with bigger intake and exhaust ports, and angled plugs.
