my engine setup what do you think??
ok guys i am looking for a range 400 or 450hp. I have a 1992 350 L98. Going to leave engine stock. then have my stock heads port and polish with valve job. Change intake to a FIRST manifold setup. hooker headers and exhaust. Finally procharger. professionally tuned. i realize other parts of the car need to addressed but this is just a starting point on where to go with the engine setup. let me know what you think or should change. There is a budget involved here of course lol. thanks guys.

How much boost? Staying with a stock cam, or something for the charger?
Re: my engine setup what do you think??
i just want to run minimal boost 6-9psi i think the basic kit runs. I was under the impression that you cant run to much lift and stay with stock heads so i wasen't even going to change the cam. unless you know of a good product or i could get something custom i guess. i can run to much boost if my bottom end won't be forged.

Stock cams work well with boost. The intake upgrade isn't absolutely necessary, but you might want to plug off the EGR and PCV ports.
I like to fill the EGR passages in the center exhaust ports with weld before I begin porting stock heads.
For boost, basically you just need a good set of larger injectors, a great exhaust system, and a very good tune.
I would get with your tuner and work out the details with them.
Re: my engine setup what do you think??
do new injectors usually come in the supercharger kit? I was thinking 36lb if not. How can i locate a good tuner in the central pa area. Is there a website listing or does anyone know of any. I wouldn't mind a drive to find one thats good.
