NO. The problem is the heads. those heads are the dreaded "swirl-port" version, and they do not flow. Get some better heads before considering a cam.

there were 2 different designs used in '88 on the 305s. The TBI 305s were also swirl-ports. Only the TPI 305s had decent heads, casting number ends with "081"
If you have those, then you're ready for more cam. The HOT cam isn't a bad choice.

I'm forever told that stock TBI heads can't do more the .480" of lift, though no one has ever elaborated why or how to fix this issue. With 1.5 rockers, a LT4 Hot cam would have .492" of lift. Also, the intake and exhaust ports on a LO3 swirl port are flow saturated at .400" of lift so reaching for a cam with .500" or more of lift really wouldn't pay dividends anyway.
