Re: FUEL LEAK PLEASE HELP!!!

Wish I knew, theres a purge valve (round black small thing, with a fuel line leading in, and a big and small line leading out towards the canister) If I unplug the canister side of this purge valve and start the car fuel pours out of that side. not sure if fuel suposed to be reaching this or if its suposed to open already.

on my canister there is open bottom, on top theres what looks liek a built on purge valve, with two hoses coming off it, a hose beside it, and a solenoid that plugs in and clips onto my canister. All very hard parts to find or even figure out what they r for me.

i had also just gone through hell replaceing fuel pump and then broken fuel line due to shitty autozone jack.

Re: FUEL LEAK PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey, guy at autoparts had finally said that fuel should not be reaching our canisters and sounds like lines at tank are mixed up. Moderator RBob on here had the same suggestion. That fuel leaking out of canister is usually that the vent and the fuel return line mixed up. Didn't see how this could be but switched them to try anyways.

Couple the hoses around my canister setup were bad (black stuff comes off and hose falling apart, replaced those for less then 1$ a foot for the hoses.

Yeah bro our return and exhaust lines are mixed up. Wish I had a Ricaro, good luck.

When I switched my lines, at fuel tank theres 4 lines, I know the gas to car was correct and the breather was correct, so I switched the other two.

Yes it did fix the problem you'll be good when u switch the lines, not the one going to your fuel filter, and not the one to the baige breather thing back there. but go ahead and switch the other two. THe vapor was is above and seems easy to switch places with the fuel one when we put tank back in.
