New locks are cheap and easy to put in. The last thing you wanna do is start leaving your car unlocked

Do like I did...............Take it to a locksmith!

$17 for a new key at the chevy dealership. Will work on your doors, hatch, and t-tops (if you have them). (I just bought me a new key).
Take your title to show ownership, and they will use the VIN number to lookup the key code. (Hope your locks are factory)

That's how I got my keys replaced, the dealership also gives you the same shiny round key that came stock with the car

Your better off just replacing them because the old factory locks on mine were corroded and snapped right off when I hit it with a screwdriver. That really woudln't stop anyone from breaking into the car

i had a 90 GTA about a year ago my dad had lost the keys and all i did was spend 10 bucks and got a new ignition key and door key. So i would do that before replacing the locks... Just my opinion, and the parts guys at the dealerships always get excited when you pull up in a third gen

I am a certified locksmith. A new door or hatchlock key is not an expensive proposition, even a VATS ignition key or lock cost much anymore. Go to a locksmith or dealer, it should not cost more than $10-$20 for replacement keys, or double that for new locks, if you replace them yourself. Randy

VATS ignition locks are $47 at Advance Auto for mine (91) I'm sure that it wouldn't cost much different for yours unless they are non-VATS. Door locks were only $13.
