battery quickly discharges

Had the battery charged at the local advanced store. The person said that the battery checked out good. I hooked it up to the car and it started just fine but, as soon as I turned it off the car wouldn't start. It just gave out the clicking noise. What would cause the battery to drain so quickly? Hopefully it's just the battery nothing else.

Thank you,
Gerry

P.S. the battery is about 3 years old.

Re: battery quickly discharges

Have your battery tested again and see what the charge level is. If the level is good have them check it under load.

If the battery checks out you should start looking at the starter solenoid or the cables.
