car stalls

i gotta 91 rs tbi stock, manual trans. the problem is that after driving at 80-85 miles/h for like 4 mins or so and i slow down the car turns off. the other day i almost avoided an accident thank god, was going to slam into a divider, but it was manual trans some how managed to turn it on in 2 gear.

well this problem is mostly when im driving in a/c, without a.c some times.

dont know wat to do????????????????????????????

Re: car stalls

How is it behaving before it dies? Do the rpms drop rapidly and then try to revive itself and then die? Does it just straight cut out? Sputtering? Depending on what its doing you can track down a cause, but my toilet bowl injection system does the same crap in AZ ill be cruising along and stop at a light and it just kills itself sometimes

Re: car stalls

to be honest ive never found a solution to it, i just replaced my battery and put in a new starter so when she dies, i can bring her back. Id check the Pigtail connections at the injectors to make sure theyre snug and the rubber boots inside of them havent walked their way off, its definitely a fueling thing though

Re: car stalls

my 89 2.8L does this same thing... and usually in a high traffic area. Ive found its easier to just shift into neutral (auto transmission.) and rev it a bit and then when the light goes green, back into drive or overdrive.

Re: car stalls

Normal for the car? Originally no, but I've seen almost every tbi do it once or twice and there's no solutions I've found
