Re: charcoal cannister problems HELP!!!!!!

I read your other post on this...

You replaced the ENTIRE fuel line from the tank to the engine with rubber?

If so, bad move - not safe.

If so, did you at least use FUEL INJECTION hose? It states "fuel injection" on the hose - if it does not, it's carb hose, and won't hold up to the pressure of the fuel injection fuel pump. Also, FI hose is about $3 a foot, carb hose about $1 per foot. For the cost of three runs of FI hose from the engine to the tank, you could have more cheaply gotten replacement hardlines (which is what you need anyway for safety issues). No telling what rock, piece of glass, etc will get kicked up and tear the rubber hose causing a gas leak!

Sounds like in the process you've connected the wrong line to the evap canister.

3 fuel lines - the larger one was 3/8 - it's the feed line, two smaller ones each 5/16, one is return line to the tank, one was to canister.

But sounds like your hard lines are now entirely gone?

If so, you're going to have to redrop the tank, figure out which is which, and rerun them correctly to the engine bay.

Re: charcoal cannister problems HELP!!!!!!

iv ran lines from the pump to the lines that start at where the pump plugs in on the hump behind the rear seat!, also that sounds right i paid alomst $3 for that line because i got 12 foot, and paid like $40 something, i have four lines though? also the lines on the evap and the return are differance in thickness right? because i have 1 next to the wheel is the sending line, 2. second from the wheel is my return, and 3 is my evap, i did this in the thickness in the hard lines, 1 is the fattest then on down, am i wrong?

Re: charcoal cannister problems HELP!!!!!!

the 4th hardline near the tank is the rear brake line.

feed line is largest (3/8)
return line is 5/16 and evap line is 5/16.

evap line should be the longest looking from firewall towards front of car
