LB9 Injectors Help.
Hello,
I need to replace my injectors in my 1989 Iroc, I,m thinking on getting the Accels #19's. Does any body has any experience with those injectors or any suggestions about what injectors have worked good for you?
thanks in advance.

Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
I got a set of Bosch III's in my 350 TPI. They are the bomb man. Ive read many bad things about Accels. Sometimes they are bad right out of the box. You can get the Bosch III's a little under $160 with shipping. There are a couple of different sellers but Ive read very good results from TGO's very own vendor who is called SouthBay injectors (http://www.southbayfuelinjectors.com/). They sell the 19 lb and the 22 lb but since you got the 305, you would diffinately need the 19 lb.

Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
Anytime. These Bosch III's are barely used. They got some miles on them but they are fairly new. They are cleaned and flow tested for the optimum performance. They are even modified to fit perfectly inside our TPI's fuel rail. Your gonna love it bro.
Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
We worked on the adapters and orings for over 6 months to come up with the perfect fit. We have sold a ton of the bosch lll injectors with this mod for the tpi set up and so far we have not had any complaints!
Anyway, sack23 if you are interested in a set of the 19lb bosch lll's, TGO members receive a 10% on all of our injectors. If you go through our website just type in promo code TG11 at checkout. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us!

Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
I'll poke in here just to stick up for Accel. I bought a set of the 24# injectors nearly 7 years ago and they are still working great.I believe there has been a lot of bad info spread simply because people "have heard" they were problematic.

Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
Of course man. That is the best type of advice that anyone can give. Let me give you an example. If you where to call Accel and ask them how well the injectors perform, they would tell you immaculant. Now ask them what is the bad things about them such as reliability, pros, cons, and percentage of "out of the box" defects. Im willing to bet that they would say something like "Ive never had a customer complain about our products." Word of mouth is at best thee best way of giving info (granted that the info given is correct). To end this post, If my Bosch III's give out in time, I would not even hestitate to buy a new set from our very own vendors (southbay08). Ive got no complaints about my Bosch III 21 pounders. Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
I'd bet that for every 1 person that had a problem with them, there were 500 more that didn't. Look at it this way, everyone "has heard" that there were third gen 1LE's with a 350 and a 5 speed. News flash, that ain't true either.
I'm just saying.

Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
I think they are still doing great. The car idles smooth even with the not quite mild cam, makes great power and still gets about 26mpg highway. They also are quiet and don't "tick" as loud as some injectors I've heard. I wouldn't be afraid to buy another set. On the other hand, I have also wanted to try out the Bosch III's on another motor. I just need to decide exactly what other parts I will be using, lol.

Re: LB9 Injectors Help.
Bosch III's are quite loud. Have you heard a 2003 Ford Expedition? They are a little bit louder. They almost sound like a slight valve lash in the rocker arms. Personally, I like the ticking. As for the smooth idling with the "not quite mild cam," I learned that the MAF Sensor is very friendly with changes in the intake air volume (mainly cam changes) because it makes changes of fuel delivery and spark in real time, to where as compaired to a Speed Density Camaro, the info is hard programmed in tables within the MemCal. The ECM then determines how much fuel and spark to process in the tables that are programmed. So depending on engine speed and the MAP sensor, the Speed Density Camaro would not be able to run correctly because there is no real time measuring of the intake air. But thats a different thread starter.
