Help me get this plug out!!

Here's what I'm working on:

Its the upper fill plug on my T5. I have tried to use a chisel/punch to move it, but its soft and both just dug in instead of turning it.

Any ideas on removing it effectively?

Re: Help me get this plug out!!

Maybe an easy out bit, or you could try dremeling a slot in the head and use that to get it out. Those are the ways I know, there are probably better lol.

Re: Help me get this plug out!!

I'd drill a relief hole then use an EZ-Out on it.

Re: Help me get this plug out!!

Just grab a 1/2 in bolt and grind the threaded end square to fit the damaged plug, and pound it in and out she comes..........has worked for me many of times.

Re: Help me get this plug out!!

Weld a bolt into the hole then put a wrench on the head of the bolt and unscrew it.

Re: Help me get this plug out!!

An impact may break the welds. You don't get a lot of area to run a bead and only need enough force to break the torque of the plug. If you have to, use a socket and a breaker bar if a wrench can't do it.

Re: Help me get this plug out!!

you got to use heat. get it nice and hot and wile heating it up spray wd-40 on it to let the wd seep in to it.

Re: Help me get this plug out!!

if its hot enough i dnt think a 3/8 impact starting with lil trappings will break it but yea breaker bar should do the trick
