sticking throttle
ok, getting closer to figuring this out. I have a 91' 350tpi/700r4 bird. After i get on it hard, my throttle feels like it is sticking. This also happens after i go on a long drive (60 miles or so). Somehow from heat? About a year ago i had to put a return spring on my throttle body ( for the car to shift at all)!!!! but it is fine until after i drive it hard and then it needs to cool down. Anyway the car shifts really late. After i let the car cool down or sit for a while , the problem goes away. I also feel my gas pedal coming up from the floor real slow (have to let up on the gas to shift this car remember). So, is the problem a bad throttle body or a bad tv cable? OR, the linkage on the transmission that my tv cable hooks up to?

Re: sticking throttle
Oh and WOT shifts are always fine. It is only normal driving previous to a WOT run that is shifts bad.

Re: sticking throttle
I don't know if this is even relevant to your case but when I changed out my plug wires I had one that laid across the throttle cable before it went in the plastic jacket and it caused my throttle to stick.
