head spring pocket
just ordered a set of Comp 26918-16 Beehive Spring to replace my 987-16 duel springs. I was just curious since the O.D. of the bottom of the 987 is 1.430" and the bottom O.D. of the 26918 are 1.310" would that be to much play in the spring pocket causing the spring to move and dance to much? It's only .120" difference between the two springs but figured I ask..thanks.

Re: head spring pocket
OK, so I spoke to Comp today and they said the 4705-16 valve spring locators/cup are what is called for the 26918-16 springs to seat the spring correctly. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-4705-16/ I know these springs are more often used in LSx cars so I'm wondering if this locator/cup I.D. of .570" will fit around Gen I valve guide ball O.D. or is the LSx valve guide ball a different size? I'll be impressed if anyones knows this off hand.
