Is the ignition system basically factory?
If so, then the R45 delco's work fine.
GM's run good with Delco.

NGK has some iridiums that I want to try but to date I have always run the delco's and had no problems.

yes, it is the HEI distributor with accel cap rotor and coil and plug wires..i figured since i had a different coil and wires that i neede to upgrade the plugs too...since i have headers, i thought a shorter plug as well as more efficient plug was needed...

Re: spark plugs?..delco still ok?
I recently picked up some AC Delco plugs. Havent put them in yet because of snow and not having the right tools but I have heard great things about them. I think the part number is R43TS. Got new plugs because my car is running like they have never been replaced.

Re: spark plugs?..delco still ok?
I just switched over to AC Delco in the IROC. As you can see from my sig, I run Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads and thought that the NGK Iridiums might be better. Also wanted a long lasting plug since replacing them is such a chore with the large primary headers. The thing is though that the AC Delco platinums have a much larger electrode than the NGK Iridiums. The AC Platinums also run 100K in OE applications so durability isn't an issue.
I want the largest flame front possible for complete combustion and I think the larger electrode of the ACs will produce a fatter spark, thus helping to generate a larger flame front.

Big shoutout for Autolites
They did something new, in many different engines, I have seen them go in and be flawless. Where AC or NGK couldn't provide the same experience.
