Re: HELP lol sounds like a massive vacuum leak
Don't think it'll hurt anything to have a vacuum leak, even a big one, as long as no trash got sucked into the cylinders that couldn't get burnt up. But your car will run like hell until you get all the vacuum lines fixed! You might not have any brakes if the vacuum lines are messed up!
Why would you even consider running the car with so many vacuum leaks?
Why be in such a hurry to run the car that you take a chance on screwing it up?
You need a serious lesson in patience! Half-a$$ed effort yields half-a$$ed results!

would a vacuum problem make my 89 firebird make a ticking sort of noise when it isn't running or is running, or even has the key on, i only ask because when the headlights come up or down (usually with trouble and a few tries) that it makes such a noise

Re: HELP lol sounds like a massive vacuum leak
Vacuum issues only exist when car is running, and headlights in these cars are electrical not vacuum.

Re: HELP lol sounds like a massive vacuum leak
ive owned this thing for close to 5 years
sorreh for my lack of patience it ran good in the 60' (for a 305) and then horrible after that but yeah really its a lack of know how and a lack of money here =/ i seriously need to pull my engine completely apart and look over everything with a fine tooth comb and sombody who knows their stuffes because the gas milage sucks the wiring is horrible and well after 150,000 miles and it coming to me with no interior (or brakes) and no a/c showing me its been raced i think i should have taken the engine out 5 years ago today i went to start it and it just seemed to blow a fuse or somthing im not sure but completely wasted my battery i got some smoke so i assume that going over everything is in need now or the best idea at least
or just tow it to a junkyard and start over with my bosses body and chassis and a new engine n trans
