New cam..stock push rods?
I have a new cam to install and I'm wondering if I can use my stock push rods.
Cam specs are com cam cl12-242-2 or cs xe268h. I don't know how to find out myself so any help would be so much appreciated. Thank-you
Sb 350
Camel humps 291's
E brock performer intake
Flat top pistons (standard bore)
Qjet carb
Comp cam (above is numbers)

Ok so I went to comp cam and put in my specs and couldn't figure out anything.... ahhhhh!!
So I promise I'm not just being lazy..I tried to figure it out on my own but with no luck.

Re: New cam..stock push rods?
They should "work"; whether they're the "ideal" length, is another matter, as is, whether it's a "good idea" (since as we all know, just because a thing can be done, does not automatically promote it to a good idea). They are as weak as 3-hr-old spaghetti.

Re: New cam..stock push rods?
Why not buy the recomended set of rods offered by comp? They dont cost that much and you'll have peace of mind knowing you've got the correct pieces that are new. Hope your going with a new set of lifters also

Weak spagetti because they're made from crap material and are thin. Good push rods are made from chrome moly steel.
