Engine is a 350 chevy with a computer controlled distributor coil-in-cap type. The engine is on a stand so the distributor is not plugged in to the computer if that makes a difference. The module and coil are new. The pickup coil tested good. I've got the distributor clamped down to the intake for grounding. I have that 3 wire connector going to the cap with the pink wire on the BATT side. I have 12 volts going into the single wire that plugs into the BATT too. I used a timing light to check it and it didn't flash. Wires are a few months old, used only a couple of times. Plugs are new. Cap and rotor are a few months old but only used a couple of times, I see no cracks. What else is there to check anyone? I would really appreciate some advice, I don't know what else to do.

Oh sorry. Yes it's on a stand. and I got jumper cables hooked up between the engine and battery for ground/power.
This is all the wiring on it minus spark plugs.. and the distributor is in the engine..

Is it always left like the wiring shows below? Maybe the coil is burned up from the constant 12v feed. Try running the coil off the switched starter post. Also try another coil if you have one.
Also, this might be a long shot/WOT (Waste of time), but see if any of these work:
Double check the ground of the coil module
Try another coil pickup
Run a ground cable to the stand as well

I'm wondering if the ICM is going out or the coil or possibly poor connection somewhere.
This is an edit. I had jumped the gun about the ECM but the car gets timed without it connected so I erased that...
