Low oil pressure? sometimes?

Low oil pressure? sometimes?
Ok so i was looking at my oil pressure and at idle its at 0, then when i press the gas it gets up to like 20. Sometimes its at 30 and stays there with gas pressed and at idle. whats wrong Thanks

It could be a bad gauge sender, bad dash gauge, or stuck pressure relief in the oil pump. Its time to hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge and verify if the oil pressure is really getting that low.

more likely than not your problem is the oil press. sensor . it's located just above the oil filter , easy to change . be careful of brittle plastic on the elect. connector . good luck .
