emptying gas tank. Going to try new fuel filter. fresh gas. I've had "hot start" issues before, this isn't it. this problem acts like no fuel.

Re: starting issue... won't

Next time it won't start check for fuel pressure and spark, that will narrow it down...

Re: starting issue... won't

I got lazy. drove to dealer, left it running, idle not steady, bouncing between 500/800.
drove it into work bay, mechanic turned car off, and ... won't restart. checked fuel injector wiring, then starter quit. Bad ECM? they gave me ride home. Dealer, first mistake. expensive, but hopeful...

Re: starting issue... won't

I had this problem one time and it ended up being VATS, as bad as I hate to open that can of worms. On other vehicles that I've had though, similar but not exact problem, it turned out being the alternator going out.

Re: starting issue... won't

check for spark when it won't start. Could be ignition module or pickup coil

Hurray! Just got my baby back from the dealer. Expensive, but runs like it did. New Ecm, new fuel injectors, new starter. 1600.00$, ouch. But still smiling. Thanks for all your help...
