Stuck spark plug

I have a 1986 Trans am 305 TPI, I was in the process of giving it a full tune up (just got the car no idea how the previous owner trated it) so I started the spark plugs managed to get two switched with fairly little difficulty but now the third plug back on the drivers side is STUCK, and I mean stuck to the point where it will not budge at all. I ended up breaking the stalk off and am getting irriated with the damn thing. Any tips or advice to try would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Stuck spark plug

Not quite sure how its stuck... Are you using a spark plug socket? I picked up those flexible ones from harbor freight, and they work fine.

Is PB Blaster that effective? The only heat I really have access to is a lighter.

You will need a Propane torch at the very least.

Home depot for like $20. And yeah pb blaster works good. Remember though if you blast it full of oil and then use the torch you might see a little more smoke than you expected. Best to lick the plug with the tip of flame on low and burn oil off first. Keep a wet rag handy to slap over fire if it gets a little frightening.

Re: Stuck spark plug

best to heat first , the spray with the blaster, it will smoke but the heat will pull the penetrant into the threads just like when you solder cooper pipe.

Re: Stuck spark plug

Thanks for the tips, I picked up some pb blaster and have been soaking the plugs. I have my brother coming down in a couple of days to give me a hand with finishing the job up. If all else fails bringing it to a shop and they can deal with it.
