Engine combo opinions needed
Pulling my 305 tpi out of my 89 iroc. Here's what i've grabbed up to replace it.
Engine: Pre 1987 350 4 bolt main short block #10066036
Cam: Lunati Voodo hydraulic flat tappet cam and lifters #60101
int/exh int / exh
specs: lift 454/468 - dur 213/219 - lobe sep. 112
Heads: Gm 10088113 L98 aluminum heads with some mild porting done
Intake: 58mm throttle body, mildly ported plenum, mildly ported SLP runners, gasket ported base.
Exhaust: Headman shorties 1 5/8 - w/ 3in collectors
Let me know what you think and if you forsee me running into any issues with this setup. Also what will i need to make those heads work with my setup? I've heard you need to make some mods to make them fit an 89 intake.

Wasted on a stock 350
Do you need EGR?
There is no EGR riser in the 113 heads to match the port in the F-Body TPI base
If you need EGR for testing you will need a Vette TPI base
and have to connect it up to the exhaust manifold like done in a Vette

I don't need an egr, but will not having one produce any side effects other than a check engine light?
(58mm throttle body-Wasted on a stock 350) Explain please.

more air, more fuel = more power right? Or has everything I've been told and read throughout my life been wrong.

Re: Engine combo opinions needed
The question becomes, will the bigger throttle body actually flow more air, than the stock feller? Only reason air flows thru there at all, is because the engine is just a giant air pump. (and a rather complicated one at that....) Even at redline, the engine is not going to run in to a situation where the throttle body is the biggest restriction....... 52mm would be fine. 58 is just overkill.

Re: Engine combo opinions needed
Well when you consider the fact that I paid $150 for it brand new the question becomes why the heck wouldn't I? Anyway enough about the tb. What about the rest? Anyone see any problems with it?

Re: Engine combo opinions needed
Anyone want to jump in with some helpful insight? Like helping me figure out how to determine what lenth pushrods i need instead of just bashing the parts i've aquired. I need some helpful information on this combination. Please and thank you.
