350 tpi stalls when hot

As of last week my Gta had some stalling issues. It's fine if the engine is cool, but after warmed up it'll start to run a little rough, then the engine will start surging and chugging, then it'll stall. But it will start right back up most of the time. Sometimes it takes a few cranks.

Possibly be my ignition module?

Sounds like it might be the IAC. Check that, and clean it. Check your MAF as well. Could be various things. I know in some cars, after the car warms up, the IAC takes control of the air to fuel ratio.

If its dirty, or broken, then its not going to do its job. Also check your air intake. Sluggish response in throttle, and engine usually means its running rich, so you're lacking air intake somewhere.

What should the values read on a good IAC and MAF?

The values for the IAC escape me at the moment. A quick test you can do is start the car, and remove the IAC after the car has warmed up.

Unplug the IAC. The RPMs should rise.

Then turn off your car, and reconnect the IAC. If nothing happens, then its your IAC.

As for your MAF, that should be around 5 volts. It depends on your RPMs. Higher RPMs = higher voltage.

Note that just because the values may be right, doesn't meant that you're MAF isn't dirty. Pull it out, and check it. clean it up just to be sure, plug it in, and turn on your car.

One thing I might add: Carbs. Check those. May have to much fuel flowing through and needs tweaking (If you have them anyways.)

Check your fuel psi, pickup coil, ign module, coil, if stock injs, ohm check them.

Re: 350 tpi stalls when hot

Well I got some more clues about this issue. If the car has been sitting for at least 24hrs, then it'll run fine. I can drive it all around no problems. It's only a problem after I shut it off, leave it for about a half hour, and then drive it again. After that it only takes about 5 minutes to actually act up and then shortly after stall.

Hooked up a pressure gauge on it tonight and I have 40-45 psi even when it does its stalling thing.
