Re: LT1 cam
Not much of a difference? I'm not looking for anything too crazy but I would like a nice jump in power. What kind of cam would you recommend?

Re: LT1 cam
There are several "LT1" cams; the one in the B body motors is not much different from the one you already have. Some of the ones in F and X bodies are slightly more aggressive (emphsasis on "slightly") but I can't recall exactly which ones. All in all though, ALOT of maze to run, in exchange for VERY LITTLE cheeeeeze at the end. Even free, I wouldn't bother.
For an otherwise mostly stock L98, this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-08-502-8/ is a pretty good choice.
You WILL need to upgrade the valve springs.

Re: LT1 cam
Whatever the cam mfr recommends.
In the absence of that, I'd suggest their (Comp) 986 springs along with all the hardware that goes with them (machine work will be required), and a set of their steel-body (NOT aluminum) roller-trunnion rockers.
