after 350 swap car wont run
i put a carbed 80s 350 in my car swapped intake to a weiland 8004 and now i cant get it to stay running. it starts then dies imediately, no clue whats going on ran perfect before i put it in anything will help.

I can check, i currently am running a qudrajet carb, wieland intake, msd wires and headers and thats all thats done to the engine besides a stock rebuild

let me know about the vacuum lines. make sure any unused ports are capped. i just finished a 406 sbc build and got pissed off when i could not get it to idle. found i forgot to reconnect the brake booster so the intake vacuum was unplugged. fixed that and it runs mint.

i dont know, but just to see if any of that was messing up i ran a wire straight from the batteries positive to the coil and it did the same thing

havent been able to check yet wont run long enough, i put the distributor back in the same place it was. i marked the rotors location on the firewall when i pulled it out to swap intakes put it back together and no dice.

Sounds like your timing is off to me. Rotor on firewall, check. Did you mark rotor postion on the base of the dist also?

Update i got it running after i blocked the vaccum port on the bottom front of the carb, and turned my distributor a little bit. But now it wont idle. i think i just need to time it and adjust the carb
