Removing starter!!!!Help!!!!

How do I get the starter out? I have undone all the bolts and connections and it moves around freely. I just cant get it to come out(cant get it past y-pipe). My next thought was removing the y-pipe. Please point me in the right direction fellas. Thanks.

Re: Removing starter!!!!Help!!!!

i've never taken a starter out of a V8 F body with the stock exhaust in place, but in other cars where it's a tight fit it usually involves a lot of swearing, bloodshed, and threats to just scrap the damn car... then right when you are at your wits end and ready to give up, the starter falls out and your head keeps it from hitting the floor...

installation is the reverse of removal..
