Is it possible to have knocked the timing out when loosening the pulley bolts w/ belt on ? I'm at a loss as well.

Re: cranks but no fire

i went ahead and rechecked everything. and as of right now it appears i have no spark. i found a burned fused, replaced it and my dizzy. cap. rotor. wires. plugs are all new. so i went ahead and changed out the ign coil too ( why not) but im still getting no spark anymore to my plugs? ive never had to look farther back to figure this out. my bat is only a month old and good on power. where do i check next

New components doesn't necessarily mean working; wiring / connections / grounds also in play

read Pg 1 -6

Re: cranks but no fire

i have a little exp with with testing electrical. so this is what i got. i connected my plug straight to my coil and still had no spark. i check voltage to the coil pink and white wire to neg on battery. i got 8.50 then jumped to 2.6 then to open line. and repeated that. not getting a solid 12 volt. so is there a broken line somewhere. im looking at my wiring diagram, showing that its powered through the distributor.

Nope.
Power to coil Pos terminal is straight from the Ign switch.
Run a temp wire direct from the Batt + terminal to + coil terminal and see if that solves the problem.
If it does, you need to check the wiring from the Ign switch or the switch itself may be kaput and only giving limited voltage out

FWIW
when checking car voltage; you put one probe ( blk ) on the batt neg or a ground like the engine block and other probe ( red ) on the wire being tested
