95 LT1 HEAD GASKET ALUM HEADS ??

I had my 95 lt1 from a vette down to the block . Heads were decked down and checked for the second time they have been off the block. I got the motor all back together for a few weeks all good no leaks sat in the drive way running prob a total of a few hours , took a few test drives engine up to temp no issues. lt1 is in a 85 z28 took it out the other night opened it up a to miles down the road and blew a head gasket . question is should i have a thicker head gasket and any one know the part # for lt1 arp head bolts . Was useing reg lt1 felpro head gaskets ? any help would be great

I doubt your issue is the gaskets. The heads on my lt1 have been milled several times and I am using the stock thickness felpro head gaskets. I am using arp 12 point head studs.

Nope they shouldn't have needed retourqed. Did you follow the proper torque sequence and to the correct number of final ft. Lbs? 210 isn't that hot I have had mine higher then that when my cooling fan failed.

From what you said theres no reason it should have blown. I would pull the heads and actually look at where the gasket blew.

Are you certain you blew the head gasket? Have you pulled plugs? Checked compression? Coolant/oil mixing?
