1991 Camaro 3.1 V6
Car turns over well...tries to start...chugs along for a few seconds then dies. Won't take any throttle. After restarting a few times the car eventually clears whats wrong and runs great. It has never acted up while driving, only when starting.

Here is what has been done: New plugs, cap, rotor. ICM tested good. Last item replaced before I got it was the MAP sensor. Replaced IAC and TPS. I've gone over all the vacuum hoses...replaced bad/cracked connections...capped one open end down by the battery(for the cruse control- which this car doesn't have).

Fuel pump and filter replaced. Car started and ran great all summer. Then all of a sudden it started acting up again when starting(hot or cold). Just an occasional problem at first...got worse...then finally it just wouldn't start. Replaced the battery. Anyone had a similar problem, or have any ideas?

 

Check your Fuel Pressure Regulator and ohm your fuel injectors. My V6 3.1 did this to me before my injectors went out on the highway. Check the link out. Good luck.
