Same as any of the 3rd gen engines. About 195-210° with stock settings.

When does it get hot? At idle or going down the road? Check the air dam.

They'll get up to 225-230* before the fan turns on. That's normal. It should cool off & then the fan will shut off.

Re: operating temepteture

Replacing the t-stat isnt going to solve the issue of it getting hot while sitting. Like ex-x-fire said, the computers in these cars dont turn the fans on until 225-230 degrees. If you were driving around and it was still getting that hot, then I'd say you may have an issue. But if it just sits, you have no air flowing through the radiator to cool it down, so its going to get hot. As long as your fan kicks on once it climbs a lil over half, you're good.

Let me add a bit to that, if you notice the temp is getting up around half and the upper radiator hose isn't too hot to touch yet, then yes, replace the t-stat. That means its not opening. Id make sure first, since those aren't the easiest to get at to replace.

Re: operating temepteture

If theres still a hole in it, its leaking, which means it cant build pressure. Gotta have it sealed up. If you cant seal it, replace it. Did you see if your fans come on?

Re: operating temepteture

Jump A and B terminals (two pins on the upper right) on your diagnostic connector and see if the fans kick on at all, quick way to see if they work.
