main cap girdle/support
has anyone used one for a 2 bolt 350 for some added support? they are cheap on eBay ($50) seems like a decent investment for some added protection. I'm interested in clearance, will they work with a stock oil pan?

Are you planning on revving 7000+ rpm? If not, there's no use for anything beyond your stock 2-bolt caps.
If you are, I wouldn't put any confidence in that girdle anyway. Go straight to a splayed 4-bolt arrangement.
