low-mid 400s

Sure; you could throw one in the back seat floorboard or something, shouldn't be a problem. Wouldn't hook it up to that motor though.

Re: 406 efi build

I think you'd do better with 30 or 32...

Smaller injectors with higher fuel pressure, tend to do better than too-large ones with low FP.

Re: 406 efi build

According to this calculator
http://www.wallaceracing.com/hpcalculatorquarter.php

Your HP computed from your vehicle ET is 355.57 rear wheel HP and 395.08 flywheel HP.
Your HP computed from your vehicle MPH is 350.87 rear wheel HP and 389.86 flywheel HP.

I think I was a 1.64 60ft

Remember, hp means nothing if you don't have a proper combo (gears, stall, traction)

Re: 406 efi build

Thats a 400-420 whp build if it has 11:1 comp and ported intake. And good ring seal lol. But 380-400 isnt out of the question

If it was under or around 10:1 you could turbo it. Almost identical to what i used to have in my first turbo build

Re: 406 efi build

On AFR's site they have listed a 383 with that cam and the 195's at 10:1 compression ratio and performer RPM making just over 500 at the flywheel. So figure a 400 making an easy 25 horepower more. If you haven't bought the heads yet and are building a 400 pay the extra and go with the 2.08 valves or move into their 210s and get a 2.1 valve.

Well yeah but you can purchase a valve spring compressor/remover for $20 and save yourself the machine shop cost and their turn around time.

I have a very similar combination and it made 386 RWHP which is between 425 and 450 engine horsepower.

406 Stealth ram, E-tec 200 heads, 10.0 compression, 6" rods, HR 280/280 226/226 .554 lift 112 LCA cam, 1-3/4 headers
