Moroso 20205 oil pan?

So in my build of my Vortec 350 I had an extra new Moroso 7qt kicked out sump pan part #20205 and new stock pressure pump with the pick up welded that is matched to the pan and decided to install them on my block. Has any one had any fitment issues with this pan? I noticed they make a pan for the 3rd gen and wondered if it will fit and its going to be a few weeks tell I can get to drop the motor in and find out for my self. I have unknown aftermarket shorty headers and new exhaust if that is any importance. I want to run this pan it looks good on my motor and the idea of having an extra 3qt as my stock vortec only has 4 sounds better to me. The stock windage tray that the vortec pan used still fits too as it is bolted to the main caps. So any one have this pan not fit or had issues and made it fit?

Re: Moroso 20205 oil pan?

Looks very close to the summit 7 qt kicked out sump pan I run on mine. So with that said I don't see it being any problem with the fit in the car.

Mine fits fine. I have used hooker shorty and hedman long tube headers with that summit 7qt pan, full size high torque starter, and summit gear reduction high torque starter.

Here's a thread I replied too with some more info, in that thread I also have a link to another thread where I posted pictures of mine https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...n-options.html

Cool thanks. Going to install it anyways but was just curious if there were going to be any issues. I don't like that my drain plug is on the back of the pan though. That's not the best place for it.

I ran that pan until my engine developed a hole in it, the pan fit good, few years ago I bought a oil cooler adapter, it just installed between the block and the oil filter (2inch), in the end I had to switch to a smaller filter because of the pan kickout keeping me from installing the stock sized filter
