Intakes under stock hoods?

What intakes would you guys recommend for a carbed L98 build under a stock hood. Would be looking to pull around 6000rpms give or take.

TPIS Miniram or FIRST Fuel Injection set up will be your best bet to replace the TPI and fit under the hood.

for a CARB motor ,the edelbrock RPM air gap is hard to beat. IMHO

best carb intake but he'll need a drop base air cleaner or the carb top will hit the hood.

Re: Intakes under stock hoods?

Thanks guys yeah I already have the drop base air cleaner on my TBI now im just wondering what carbed intakes yal like that can pull 5800-6000 rms. I couldn't remember what I used last time on my 350 vortec build but I remember having to use a 2in filter also I think.

Re: Intakes under stock hoods?

Then the RPM Air gap is the intake you want. 1500-6000 RPM range and is dual plane so good street manners.

Re: Intakes under stock hoods?

If you're using vortec heads the GMPP Vortec Eliminator is a good intake, doesn't fit under a stock hood though....it's also a single plane

Im probably gona use iron L98 heads but if I go vortec again I think I had used a summit vortec intake last time that seemed to work well. Main thing is I will keep my stock hood but want to pull 5800-6000 rpm range.
