This is just wrong...

Now if an individual were to adapt a full time all wheel drive train in the third gens so that it looked stock, ride height and all, now that would be something.

Wouldn't it be funny if it was a S/E with full leather PMD, now that would be a waste.

*EDIT* - Sorry - Its an 87 - No PMD :-)

Re: Must see yellow trans am with custom drive train. Not sure of ratio.

AWD gets discussed every 6 months to a year, in half the different sub-forums on this website. Noone ever tries it, at least not that they post progess pics. Maybe a couple of these cars have been butchered in failed attempts.
And really, why? Enjoy it for what it is, get a WRX STI or 3000GT VR4 if you want a AWD high performance car. Or a 4WD S-10, pickup or blazer, to build your own V8-powered fake Syclone / Typhoon.

Several years ago I had an Audi A4 Quattro - loved the way that car drove in the weather & clawed at the dry road.

Good for you, but that's like bragging about liking the normal size generic chocolate bar when we're comparing king size Hershey bars. It may seem sporty and stealthy, but third gen owners aren't looking for stealthy. And 310 HP is nothing compared to the power levels we want the AWD for. Can yours be modded to 800 HP on the factory engine? Even the old Eclipse GSX could, as could the other cars being discussed in this thread. Go big or go home.

you're on a group dedicated to cars that never came with more than 245hp stock- and you aint making anywhere near 800HP without replacing everything on the engine including the block- and you are calling out someone for bragging about their reliable 310hp daily driver that probably also pulls down close to 30mpg with the AC blowing ice cold?

novaderrik....let it be.

I'll pull it down. Because I shouldn't be bragging about my imports AWD's handling capability......

The point, forget it
