Hi guys I have a 1987 pontiac firebird formula 350
And since I've owned it's all ways felt down on power then one day it gained alot of power the fell flat and check engine light came on and engine temp rose read fault codeand was 02 sensor have since replaced sensor for a 3 wire one and car is still down on power and struggling to rev past 3000
And again gained power once a week later and same issue happened I've checked all injectors and they are showing 16 ohms cold so who has any clues on where to start looking

 

If you can't reve much past 3k I'd be looking at my ignition stuff.

 

Cat clogged maybe (if it's still on there)

 

It will rev past but very slowly and struggle like it's hitting a brick wall

 

I've pulled cat off and there is nothing in there at all its hollow apart from one small pipe running through it

 

Checked for any other codes? Could be a lot of things, but if it comes and goes like that my guess is EGR probably sticking.

 

Only code that shows is code 13 which is 02 sensor

 

Sounds like its not advancing.. Hitting a brick wall....
